We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Host or Hostess to join our team at The Lost Wombat. As a Host or Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting guests (you never have a second chance to make a first impression so we want it GREAT), answering their questions, and seating them in a timely and efficient manner. You should have excellent communication skills to ensure that customers have the best experience possible.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner

  2. Provide information about the menu and specials

  3. Ensure that all guests are seated promptly

  4. Monitor the wait list and provide updates as needed

  5. Respond to customer inquiries about the restaurant and services

  6. Upsell additional menu items when appropriate

  7. Handle payments in accordance with company policies

  8. Ensure that all tables are properly set up

  9. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas throughout shift

  10. Requirements:

  11. Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  12. Excellent customer service skills

  13. Knowledge of menu items and specials

  14. Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  15. Friendly demeanor
